On February 27, 2024, the CEO of the Republican Stock Exchange "Toshkent" (RSE) George Paresishvili met with representatives of J.P. Morgan to discuss the prospects of collaboration between the bank and Uzbek financial institutions.

 Aigerim Shoraeva, Executive Director for Global Emerging Markets at J.P. Morgan London, emphasized interest of foreign investors in Uzbek capital market. During the meeting, available options for opening non-resident investors’ access to local securities market were discussed.

 George Paresishvili provided detailed information about the necessary procedure for foreign investors to enter Uzbek market, highlighting recent acceleration of this process and outlining various paths for its implementation. He also discussed the "Regulatory Sandbox" regime established by the securities market regulator - the National Agency of Perspective Projects (NAPP), aimed at supporting the development of local market. George also noted efforts undertaken by Uzbek stakeholders to work with Clearstream.

 At the end of the meeting, both parties expressed readiness for closer  cooperation. J.P. Morgan invited RSE  to the "JP Morgan Markets Conference," scheduled on 25th of April 2024 in Tashkent, with participation of representatives of the bank, international financial institutions and foreign investors.
