Representatives of the Republican Stock Exchange “Toshkent” and the international credit rating agency Fitch Ratings held an online meeting.
During the meeting, the parties discussed opportunities for assigning international credit ratings to Uzbek issuers, as well as prospects for further cooperation in this area.
Particular attention was given to the assignment of international credit ratings to corporate, foreign currency and mortgage bonds.
The parties also discussed the role of international credit ratings in enhancing issuer transparency, providing investors with additional information, and expanding the use of international credit ratings in Uzbekistan’s capital market.
Following the meeting, both parties expressed their interest in continuing the dialogue and further exploring opportunities for cooperation.
