Increasing investor confidence, implementing digital solutions, and effective market oversight are the top priorities in developing Uzbekistan's stock market.
The delegation's visit to the Republic of Korea, organized with support from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and the Korea Exchange, focused on these issues.
The delegation includes representatives from the Republican Stock Exchange Tashkent , the National Agency for Perspective Projects, and the Stock Market Information Resource Center.
As part of the program, participants learned about key aspects of one of
Asia's most technologically advanced and developed capital markets. Special
attention was given to market surveillance technologies. Participants
familiarized themselves with automated monitoring systems that enable real-time
detection of suspicious transactions, minimize manipulation risks, and ensure
investor protection.
Cooperation between the Korea Exchange and Uzbekistan has been actively developing since 2016. The Korea Exchange (KRX) - a 25% shareholder of the Tashkent RSE - provided significant support in implementing the Unified Software and Technical Complex, which now handles all exchange operations with corporate securities.
The acquired knowledge and practices will serve as an important foundation for further modernization and international integration of the Uzbek capital market. The Republican Stock Exchange Tashkent will continue working to implement global standards of transparency, market oversight, and digital transformation in close cooperation with international partners.
