On 9–10 September, Astana hosted the Astana Finance Days 2026 (AFD 2026) international financial forum. The Uzbek delegation included senior officials and representatives of the National Agency for Perspective Projects, the Ministry of Investment, Industry and Trade, and the Republican Stock Exchange “Toshkent”.
Held under the theme “Delivering Impact. Capital in Action,” the forum brought together representatives of government authorities, regulators, stock exchanges, international financial institutions, and the investment community. The programme featured sessions on capital market development, investment products, financial infrastructure, and innovation.
As part of the forum programme, the Uzbek delegation participated in a number of sessions and discussions. In particular, the closed-door roundtable “From Fragmentation to Integration: Regional Cooperation to Strengthen Financial Markets” focused on strengthening ties between the financial markets of Central Asia and the Caucasus, creating favourable conditions for cross-border investment, and developing market infrastructure.
The forum also placed particular emphasis on enhancing market liquidity, broadening investor participation, and developing new investment instruments and modern financial technologies.
The programme covered such areas as Islamic finance, derivatives, tokenisation, and digital assets, while also providing an opportunity to explore the experience of the Astana International Financial Centre (AIFC).
The participation of the Republican Stock Exchange “Toshkent” in Astana hosted the Astana Finance Days 2026 provided an important platform for strengthening international cooperation and exploring best practices in capital market development.
